Dr. Jean D. Kabongo is a Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship in the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida at Sarasota-Manatee. His current research focuses on strategy and environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, and management issues in emerging economies. He has published over 25 articles in peer-refereed academic journals and has presented papers at international academic conferences. He serves as Associate Editor for Journal of African Business. Professor Kabongo has been consulted on entrepreneurship and small business development initiatives at the local level in the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in management from Université Laval, Quebec City, Canada, an M.B.A. from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Institut Saint-Augustin, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
